𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕜 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕡𝕦𝕣𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕤𝕖! Your brain has been confirmed to be hacked. We hope to see you again soon! 🧠⁣

Your wallets can recuperate because #AmazonPrimeDay 2019 is officially over. So how did the fake holiday stack up? @barrons reported that the internet giant released a statement claiming to "surpass Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined." Now the numbers are a little vague, however, there is no denying that the event had bought the attention of consumers everywhere.⁣

So what drives this 48-hour fake holiday? There is a possibility we could be psychologically hacked to take part and throw money at @amazon!⁣

⁣1. Lightning Deals⚡️- are flash sales designed to give consumers the need to buy something, especially since there they are running against a timer to purchase - a sense of urgency tactic always gets me- This combination of careful marketing and behavioral psychology can lead you to buy anything. There is no better feeling than scoring a deal, just ask one of the 150,000 Prime members who purchased Crest Whitestrips at a HUGE discount!⁣

2. Peer Influencers 👥 - Amazon did a great job creating a buzz around Prime Day and establishing it as a fun way to shop. The marketing around Prime Day is everywhere - On the news, online sharing what to expect and what to buy, people talking about what they are excited about (subtag at the #Digisquad member who finally got her @furbo dog camera she has been wanting for FURever). Just hearing about the event is enough for your curiosity to lead you to bandwagoning upon the #LightningDeals and the next thing you know you are buying Crest Whitestrips and are overjoyed with happiness!!⁣

The point is - Prime Day has learned how to market and hack their consumers. How can you add urgency and peer influencers to your marketing deck?⁣
