Is it time to 𝕓𝕠𝕥𝕥𝕝𝕖 𝕦𝕡 #FacebookLikes as well?

Writer's picture: Nick EscobarNick Escobar

According to @techcrunch #Instagram is already testing out this feature in 7 countries and Facebook is strongly considering it for their⁣ platform as well.⁣ So what does this potentially mean for you?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ➡ You will no longer be able to see how many likes other users have received on a post or views on a video⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ ➡ Instead, a post will now say that it was liked by 1 user + 'others'⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ ➡ You will still be able to see your own total likes or video views⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ ➡ This test does not affect any metrics in Ads Manager, Instagram Insights, Facebook Insights or third-party tools⁣ Facebook is making the move to encourage the audience to focus on the content and not how many likes they get. The idea is to help stop the audience from comparing themselves to⁣ others and possibly feeling inadequate if their posts don’t get as many Likes.⁣ So do you “like” or dislike this new possible change?⁣👍 .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #emmis #emmisdigital #emmisindy#digisquad#onlinemarketing#digitalmarketing#socialmediamarketing#businesstip #marketingsolutions#digitaladvertising #socialmediastrategy #instagrammarketing
